Project Spotlight

Milan Overpass Construction

Milan, MI, USA

Drone Brothers flew this project on behalf of Fonson Company, a 40‑year‑old Michigan‑based heavy‑civil contractor specializing in site development, road building, stormwater, sewer, and water infrastructure. Total road reconstruction, including overpass removal and replacement, pavement rehabilitation, sub-surface drainage, and utility work on County Road between Dexter St and US‑23.

Construction began in March 2024 and included full closures of impacted road segments and defined detours. Completion targeted for late fall 2024. However, some operations extended into June 2024 due to railroad coordination and bridge oversight. The overpass replacement improves public safety, supports increased heavy-load usage, and aligns with local revitalization initiatives.
