Project Spotlight

Lee & Penny Anderson Arena - Cement Pour - St. Paul, MN 55105

2260 Summit Avenue, St Paul, Minnesota 55105, USA

The project recently hit a major milestone. Completion of the main arena roof and full concrete floor pour, enclosing the 245,000 GSF structure featuring a 5,000-seat main rink and a secondary 700-seat ice sheet. Designed to host NCAA Division I hockey and basketball, plus commencements, convocations, and university events.

The arena integrates a Gothic Kasota limestone façade and sustainable systems, including geothermal groundwork. Total budget was approximately $175M, funded in part by a $75M gift from Lee & Penny Anderson. Scheduled for opening October 24, 2025, with inaugural Tommie hockey games.

Drone Brothers captured the critical cement-pour moment, documenting concrete placement and slab completion to support progress tracking and client communications.
