Project Spotlight

Flint Commerce Center Building 2 - Flint, Mi

Flint, MI

Building 1 is a fully leased 330,000 sq ft industrial facility on the historical Buick City brownfield, delivered by Oliver Hatcher in mid‑2024, anchored by Bunzl Distribution (162,637 sq ft) and Victory Packaging.

The broader Flint Commerce Center spans 350 acres and is expected to accommodate up to 3.5 million sq ft across 10 buildings, creating ~3,000 jobs with $300 million in total investment; Phase 1 site prep and infrastructure (50 acres) was led by Oliver Hatcher with RFP issued in January 2024 and breaking ground in June 2023.

Phase 2 mobilization is already underway on the next 65‑acre launch pad, including removal of old foundations and slab, demolition, and new utility infrastructure installation. Building 2 will mirror Building 1’s specs: precast design, 32′ clear heights, ESFR sprinklers, LED lighting, and multiple loading docks, ideal for brownfield-to-logistics conversion.
